These terms govern your use of this website and of software and services provided by MJOHN SOLUTIONS™, including MJS Live Manager. Please read them before using either. By using our website, software or services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
MJOHN SOLUTIONS™ is based in Massachusetts, USA. Contact: info@mjohnsolutions.com.
You may browse this site and contact us through it. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to send unlawful or abusive content. The text, images, logos and designs on this site belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.
MJS Live Manager is licensed, not sold. When you obtain a valid licence we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software on the computers covered by that licence, for as long as the licence remains active.
You may not:
The software checks periodically with our licensing server to confirm that the copy on your computer is licensed. It continues to work for a limited period without a connection, but a licence that is expired, deactivated or never activated will stop the streaming and publishing features from running. We may deactivate a licence that is unpaid, shared beyond its terms, or used in breach of these terms.
New subscriptions begin with a 14 day free trial. You are not charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you pay nothing.
After the trial, the subscription bills for each period in advance until you cancel. Prices and billing periods are those shown to you at the point of sale or in your written agreement with us, and they form part of this agreement.
You can cancel at any time, by emailing info@mjohnsolutions.com or through any cancellation option we provide. When you cancel, your licence stays active for the remainder of the period you have already paid for, and then ends. It does not renew after that unless you start the subscription again.
We do not offer refunds. That includes part used periods, periods you did not use, and cancellations made partway through a period. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not reverse a charge already taken. The 14 day free trial is there so you can decide before you pay anything.
Where we supply the software free of charge, for testing or evaluation, no fees apply and these subscription terms do not take effect until you start a paid subscription.
Church Ledger is church management software. A church can use it on its own computer, or subscribe to the version we host at the church's own web address. A hosted subscription is billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time, and the church keeps its access until the end of the period it has paid for.
The records a church keeps in Church Ledger belong to the church. We hold them to run the service, back them up nightly, and give the church a way to download its own copy at any time. If a subscription ends, the church's books become read only rather than deleted, so nothing is lost while the church decides what to do next.
Texting is an optional monthly extra. Where a church adds it, we register the church with the phone carriers, provide the number it sends from, and send the messages on its behalf.
The church is responsible for texting only people who have agreed to receive its messages, and for keeping that record of consent accurate. We stop messages to anyone who replies STOP. We may suspend texting for a church that sends unlawful, misleading or unsolicited messages, or where a carrier requires us to stop.
Carrier approval is outside our control and can take several weeks. The monthly texting charge applies while a church has texting switched on, whether or not it sends messages in a given month.
MJS Live Manager works alongside services and software we do not control, including Facebook and Instagram (Meta), YouTube (Google), TikTok, vMix and OBS Studio. You are responsible for having your own valid accounts and licences for those, and for complying with their terms and policies.
YouTube. MJS Live Manager uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel to MJS Live Manager, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Google, TikTok, vMix or OBS Studio. Those providers can change, restrict or withdraw their features and interfaces at any time, and such a change may reduce or stop what our software can do through them. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt, but we cannot promise that any third-party integration will keep working.
You are solely responsible for what you broadcast, publish or store using our software, and for holding any rights, permissions and licences your broadcast requires, including music and streaming licences such as CCLI, and any consent needed to show the people who appear in your production. We do not review, host or moderate your content.
Live production carries risk. Encoders, networks, computers and third-party platforms fail, sometimes without warning. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular broadcast will start, continue or complete successfully. You should always have your own fallback plan for a live event. Test your setup before you rely on it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website, software and services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost donations, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the website, software or services, including a broadcast that fails, is interrupted, or does not reach its intended audience.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the software or services is limited to the amount you paid us for the software or service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You may stop using the software at any time and uninstall it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms, if fees go unpaid, or if we are required to by law. On termination your right to use the software ends and you must stop using it. Sections that by their nature should survive, including content responsibility, warranties, limitation of liability and governing law, continue to apply.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we handle and how. It forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms as our products change. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date above. If you keep using our website, software or services after a change, you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts serving Massachusetts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both consent to that jurisdiction.
